A lil Tote post to tell you first of all, Flo, Ben and I have seen our entries to the UTMB confirmed after the draw. So we will be starting late August 2010 in Chamonix for what is regarded today as one of the ultras of reference in the world. This will be a special occasion for us to overcome to experience the incredible adventure that is the Tour du Mont Blanc in a single step ... A place of legend, 3 countries, over 2000 runners ... It remains only to train!

also Flo and I were this Sunday, January 24 at the Trail Blanch Ax les Thermes, Ariège for what should be our first year with Ultra 50km and 2750m of elevation gain in the snow .. . Alas, the weather and the risk of avalanches have forced organizers to help out the course, including a 35 km loop done twice and 2100m of elevation gain. The difficulty was there at the altitude but the scenery was the blow a bit disappointing. Majority of the forest instead of a beautiful valley ridges initially planned. Note, however, a very steep descent in the powder rather excellent opportunity to jump like a kid without fear of getting hurt and to bobsleigh in some places or the runners had created a real track in the middle of the powder. In the end, Flo was forced to abandon 10 km before the end because of severe pain in the knee. For my part, I took the sixty th place in 5:19 minutes on 233 participants. I'm not particularly happy with my ranking, but it was the first race of the year. I hope to do better on the next races. Nevertheless, despite these annoyances, it was a pleasure to return to the path of nature after the race several months without competition!
